Book Week 2022 has seen a second year of success, as reading and appreciating books is celebrated in all areas of the school.
All through the week activities such as mass school silent reading and book swap, have encouraged Strathallan students to pick up a book and widen their horizons. Students were challenged to produce online book reviews and poetry recitals, flexing their ‘literary muscles’ for everyone to see.
The week ended with the main event, dress up day, which saw many interesting and familiar characters parading around the school. One could literally smell the dusty pages turning as book characters from a range of genres and periods sauntered through the quad. From classical Victorian literature to modern young adult fiction, it seemed as though the library had opened its doors and exploded into the school, releasing its contents for all to experience.
