Junior Preschool

Kia ora and welcome to Junior’s monthly update! What a busy and fun couple of weeks we had in our room! It’s truly impressive to see our children participate and contribute to a wide range of enriching experiences each day.

As part of the Matariki day celebration there were so many activities we planned together with the children and one of them was the seed bomb-making, where the children used the egg cartoons that they tear them and then soaked them in the water to make balls with seeds inside that the children can take home for their garden. What a fun-filled activity to refine their fine motor skills with some sensory fun. We also practiced weaving using flax to make decorations for our room. Ka pai tamariki!

One of the favourite activities during the day is circle time,  where all our children gathered together to enjoy their favourite waiata, and puppets, practice our ukulele session, listen to stories and a lot more! What a great way to enhance our children’s social, emotional, listening, and gross motor skills! It is a delight to watch all our children participating so actively during circle times.

We also practiced the earthquake drill this week, it was a delight to see the children listening so well, following the instructions, and actively participating in the process. So proud of our Junior superstars!

We are also delighted to see our new children Mustafa, Augustin, Ruby, and Izzy settling in so well. I am sure our Jabji will settle in soon too. Thank you, children and whanau for welcoming me into the AGC family and trusting me to look after your loving children.

nga mihi
