Junior Preschool

HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A very busy term with lots of learning for our children. As the weather is getting warmer, outdoor play is becoming popular at juniors. Sand play, water play, and construction through loose parts are becoming popular. Children are showing their curiosity and fascination with insects are becoming courageous to explore them.

Role-play, book reading, and dinosaur play is still an ongoing interest and strongly embedded in children’s play. With everyday practice, children are becoming capable of exploring their ideas and expressing their feelings confidently. Teachers are supporting children’s learning by making the resources available in the environment and by being present and involving in their play. Teachers have facilitated children’s prosocial skills such as turn-taking, sharing, negotiating, and taking others’ perspectives through their play. Teachers have also extended children’s emerging literacy, numeracy, and science skills during their play.

Where to next?

We will continue to support individual children’s learning by giving them ample learning opportunities, time, space, and resources.
