Message from the Primary Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We have enjoyed a busy few weeks with many events taking place. I would like to congratulate our Year 6 students who have just completed their Mid-Year Examinations within English, Science and Mathematics. It was clear that they had spent considerable amount of time preparing for these exams with the support of their teachers and from you at home. Congratulations also, to all of our Year 5&6 students who recently took part in the Interschool Winter Sports Day. It was wonderful seeing every child taking part and demonstrating such great sportsmanship. Despite the weather, the students really enjoyed themselves.

One of favourite events each year is our Grandparent’s Morning. It was wonderful to see so many grandparents attend this year, after the event not being able to go ahead last year due to Covid-19. It is always heart warming seeing how proud the grandparents are of their grandchildren while they watch them perform and complete activities in class.

Teachers are currently completing assessments and writing Mid-Year Reports. These will be available on Tuesday 29th of June via Blackboard. Please ensure you are able to log in before this date. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Pole in our Office.

We still have many events and activities to look forward too, including the Year 6 Interschool Wearable Arts Competition, the Tread Lightly Caravan, Strathallan’s Got Talent Final, our remaining Gymnastics sessions with Franklin Gymsports, and our Pride and Achievement Assembly on the last day of the term.

We look forward to seeing you all at our Junior and Senior Sharing Assemblies on Friday 18th June. These events take place in the team’s atrium. Each class presents an item or classwork from the term. They are a wonderful way to see the range of topics covered within our classes. Please remember that classrooms are open every morning from 8:20-8:30am for you to see your child’s learning and for them to share with you what they are proud of.

Warm Regards,

Kristie Thomas
