Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Welcome back to Term 3. I hope you all enjoyed a lovely break with your families. I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new students and families that have joined us this term.
We are looking forward to an exciting term with many events planned. We have our School and Interschool Cross Country, ICAS Examinations, Road Safety lessons, Book Week, Primary Gymnastics Championships, Mufti Days, Year 6 Camp to Lakewood Lodge, Year 5 Camp, Year 4 Sleepover at Kelly Tarlton’s, Year 3 trip to Ambury Farm, and the Year 2 trip to the Botanical Gardens. Please keep an eye on the Upcoming Dates in this Newsletter and on your emails for further information.
Already this term we have enjoyed a wonderful Wearable Arts Showcase. I would like to congratulate all of our Year 5 &6 students who clearly put a lot of time and effort into their designs last term. The House Art competition was also very popular this year, with many students designing posters based on their school House. And our Primary Chess team proudly received their silver medals from the Interschool Chess Championships recently.
Parent Teacher Interviews are being held on Tuesday 2nd August and Thursday 11th August. Please log into your MyACG account to book a time with your child’s class teacher on one of those days. School will finish at 1pm on both days. All students will be brought to the gate at this time to be collected.
Each year our Primary School puts on either a Junior or Senior Production. Due to COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns, the Senior students were unable to complete their production during 2021. We have decided to put together a whole school Showcase this year so that no one misses out on this opportunity in their final primary years. This term every class will be working with our Music and Performance Arts Teacher, Mrs Molyneux, on their class item for our School Showcase. More information will be shared with you throughout the term.
I look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events.
