Preschool Nursery

What did we learn through play this month: December 2020

There has been a range of activities which has caused children to investigate and explore their learning environment. Harry and Charlie were interested in rolling the little cars through the paint to create their own masterpieces. Harry watched Charlie for a while and then began his own creation. It was great to see Harry gaining confidence, observing, and learning alongside Charlie.
Charleise and Charlie have been having fun getting to know each other. They have had peaceful moments where they lie down on their tummies and read books to each other, they sit together and play with the baby dolls and they encourage their peers to play alongside them.
It’s lovely to observe children engaging with one another and encouraging their peers to join in their play.

“Children learn through play, by doing, asking, and interacting with others. As they engage with each other, they begin to develop attitudes and expectations that with influence their learning throughout their lives”.

Special moments

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ruby, Ava, and Harvey who have joined us this month. We are looking forward to getting to know you and your families.

Ruby discovered her reflection in the clear curtains outside in the covered area and it was lovely to see her smiling at herself and discovering herself awareness.
