- Our current learning focus:
As Christmas approaches children can hardly contain their excitement. Our children are looking forward to sharing what their family does throughout the season and learn about how other traditions around the world celebrate Christmas. In addition to reading some fun Christmas books and singing Christmas songs during mat times, the children have been working hard to learn the actions of the Christmas concert songs.
- Our school-ready program:
It is normal to feel a bit anxious about sending your child off to a big school. As a parent, you want to be absolutely certain your child is fully prepared to adapt to a classroom environment, make new friends and be able to clearly communicate their needs to their teacher whenever they need help. Research shows that children who are well‑prepared for their first year of school have a much better chance of settling in and succeeding, giving them a significant head start for later years.
In addition to our school readiness program in preschool, there are many activities you can undertake with your child that have a positive effect on their development and promote school readiness. These include:
- reading with your child
- teaching them songs and nursery rhythms
- playing with letters and numbers
- creating regular opportunities for them to play with their friends and other children.

- We will be having graduations to say goodbye to our friends who are starting Primary school in the New Year.
