EQUESTRIAN

This weekend the Strathallan Equestrian team had their first outing for the year at the St Peters Inter School show jumping competition in Cambridge. The team was a mixture of experienced combinations and lesser experienced horses, ponies and riders. They all competed in two classes each and it was fantastic to see the improvement in every combination in the second round. Great results for Kayla Sinclair who was 6th in the first class and had a fantastic win in her second class! Maddison Sorrell picked up 4th placing one her second class and was awarded the Equitatation (style) prize for this class as well! A great achievement. Our other two riders were Lara Butler-Gallie on her young horse, and Daniel Smith on a new young horse, both of these riders put on incredible performances despite finishing outside the placings. Overall it was a great event which was very efficiently run by the crew at St Peters. It was a pleasure to be back out working with the riders again and I look forward to the upcoming events.
